The Skin & Shape Expo is fast approaching, and I've been busy making new shapes!

~Hourglass~ FILTHY (Dulcita) Shape

I discovered FILTHY on the feeds, and I decided to hop over-- and immediately fell in love with these skins-- completely unique, gives your face such a cute and glowing look to it. Surely to be one of the hot new places to grab a skin! Both male and female skins here too! This shape is for the line "Dulcita" which comes with TEETH! So cute!

~Hourglass~ Pink Fuel (Elly) Shape

The eagerly anticipated Elly skins are soooo close to being yours, can you taste it? Several makeups will be available at the Culture Shock event coming soon! This shape compliments the new Elly line, and also works well with several other skins!

Hourglass Shapes - Skin & Shape Expo Preview #1

After a long hiatus from making shapes, Hourglass is back and ready for the Skin & Shape Expo -- which is happening May 10th-20th! At the expo, you can expect tons of new releases from your favorite skin and shape designers. Get more info on the expo here!

For those of you who may not already know, Hourglass is a shop based around designing shapes to compliment popular skinlines. Many of you know from your own experiences that the most beautiful skins require meticulous tweaking of your shape to look absolutely perfect on you-- and I've gone ahead and taken out the guesswork for you. My first preview post will showcase three of my newest female shapes which will be available at the Expo in a few weeks!

~Hourglass~ Mynerva (Sophie) Shape
Truly one of my favorite skins. Not the newest range from this designer, but still absolutely stunning. I rarely take this skin off, simply because the skin itself is so unique.

~Hourglass~ League (Sia) Shape
Showcasing the newest skinline from League, Sia is a showstopper. The most adorable button nose and curves for days, guaranteed people will notice you when you wear this skin-- just make sure you're wearing it right!

~Hourglass~ Curio (Lustre) Shape
I am a longtime fan of Curio skins, and was thrilled when Lustre was released! The skin has brilliant shading and highlighting and is delicate and highly detailed. This shape seeks to accentuate everything amazing about this skin.

Big release this weekend for the guys! Four brand new shapes for some of the newest male skins out there-- and a special freebie:

Hiya everyone :-) So I was a little late in getting these out, but I made two very cute holiday shapes for you all (*limited perms* COPY ONLY).. one for the guys and one for the gals! And best of all, they're totally free!

The female shape is optimized for Curio's new "Winter" line of skins and the male shape is optimized for CheerNo's "Venus" skinline! Each come with a customized style guide so you can recreate the look you see in the pictures above!

Both of these shapes will be available for purchase in their full, modifiable forms after the hunt is over!

Hourglass Shapes Mainstore Grande Opening!

It's been a long time coming, but the Hourglass Shapes mainstore is finally open!

The store sits near the swamp on the spooky sim of Elliott on Starlustland. And I've finally got enough room to showcase all my shapes, including my eight new releases from the Skin & Shape Expo! In celebration, I'm holding a mini-hunt!

Search in, out, up, and down for five sculpted hourglasses. The hourglasses are $1L/each and contain modifiable and limited perms shapes for men and women both! There's also a special hourglass containing a full series set of grey eyes from =HooT=.

I'm so glad to finally have the mainstore open! Hopefully you'll be seeing a lot more from me really soon!

Hourglass Shapes is proud of be a part of the 2009 Skin & Shape Expo, the first expo of its kind to include both skin and shape designers TOGETHER-- which to me, is how it should be. At least for my SL-business, skins and shapes have *always* come hand-in-hand. When it comes down to it, without the right shape, an avatar may not truly be harnessing the potential that any skin has to really look extra special and unique (without being bulky and disproportionate!).

So for this event, I've put together a staggering EIGHT new shape releases-- my biggest all-at-once release to date! And as a special incentive to come see the newness and shop-- every single one of my 8 new shapes will have 50% of proceeds going to charity-- the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Indie Rock for RFL Carnival & Expo Starts TOMORROW!

Hiii everyone! Just a quick post to say that the Indie Rock for RFL Carnival & Expo event starts Wednesday, May 13th and runs through Sunday, May 17th! For 5 days you'll get to experience an amazing sim with incredible rides, music, events, and special limited edition items made by sooo many talented designers and artists! All proceeds from the event benefit the American Cancer Society.

Hourglass Shapes is proud to be a member of the team "Indie Rock for RFL" this year. I'm offering a very special shape to benefit the Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.

The shape is for Curio's "Pin Up" line, has never been released before, and will *ONLY* be available from now until the end of the Indie Rock for RFL event (May 13-17th). The shape is special enough that I've been wearing it for weeks, debating releasing it at all so I could have it all to myself.. hehe. NEW Shapes for Curio and Schadenfreude Skins @ Hourglass!

Two brand new arrivals at Hourglass, shapes for Curio and Schadenfreude!

For the beautiful skins from Curio, created by Gala Phoenix, I created this shape, more on the petite line but still shapely. I love that these skins allow you to be so versatile with your look, you can go from glam to goth, to just plain wild-- and still be totally cute!

Next, Allegory Malaprop of Schadenfreude has finally released her much-anticipated skinline, all based around the makeups and look of the iconic Siouxsie Sioux. The eye makeups are unique and dramatic-- these are skins you will certainly stand out in! For the above shape, I picked a skin from her "Peekaboo" line, but the shape will work with all 4 of her newest skins :)

Aside from both of these skins being available at my mainstore, Allegory has graciously allowed me to set up a vendor for my Siouxsie Shape inside Schadenfreude! So you can take a look at the shape and the skins all at once if you'd like! So come on by, try on demos, and hope you enjoy!

~Hourglass~ @ Starlust Valentine's Day Hunt!

Today marks the first day of the Starlust Motel's Valentine's Day Hunt!

It's a unique hunt that involves wearing a HUD and finding pieces of a broken heart. With each piece of the heart you find, you'll get a clue that will lead you to the next piece of the heart in the sim. Once you have all the pieces, you'll receive a notecard with a list of LMs to every store that is giving a prize within the 4 sims of Starlust (including mine!), and you just hop around, click the boxes while your HUD is on (you must be in whisper distance when you click, ~5m), and you get a folder filled with yummy prizes!

Here's a peek at the prize I made.

^^A set of Valentines chairs and a table, chairs with special sits made by Brutus Martinek of Pididdle, and a very special, smexy female shape called "Eat Your Heart Out".

These prizes will be waiting for you in my jailcell, along with many others scattered over the sim! Hope you enjoy!

Hi everyone-- two new releases today!

Lazolli is new on the SL skin scene, but owner Nariko Shinn is creating some really beautiful looks! This shape is fitted to the Takako skinline, which is my personal favorite in the store.

Fashionably Dead, (by Toast Bard) has these really beautiful and unique handpainted skins, which range from glam to beat-up & bruised. I was excited to finally create a customized shape for these skins-- this one in particular comes packaged pretty petite (5 ft 6 in-world), and super cute!

Three new shapes @ Hourglass!

I've been working my tail off this last week to bring you brand new stuff--- and here's what I have to show for it! Three beautiful new shapes for some fantastic skins.

A shape for Blowpop skins, shown here with the "Tuesday" line (but also works well with Mellie2 and Mellie3)

Since its release several months ago, Rockberry's "Willow" skins have been some of my favorites, and with the launch of the new freckled versions, they are to dieeee for! So here's a cute shape to match!

Finally, Nylon Outfitters has these great handpainted skins that I've long been a fan of. I had a previous version of this shape that I made when I first opened my store, and it was in much need of a makeover! So this is what I came up with :)

So there you are, the fruits of my labor! I probably won't be releasing so many shapes all at once again, atleast for a few weeks.. because of RL priorities (must...study..for boards.. lol). As always, hop on by my mainstore and try on the demos!

~Hourglass~ Participating in Heart of Love initiative for Shir Dryke

Starting today, I've marked down four shapes in my shop by 50%, and ALL of the Linden from these purchases is being donated to the Heart of Love Initiative, which is helping fellow SLer Shir Dryke (of Ornamental Life) to get a heart transplant she desperately needs.

The shapes included in this sale are:

-Aden (Generation 3)

-lessthan3 (unnamed)

-D-Skin (#42 v.1.1)

These four shapes are marked down to 250L, and are the only vendors in my store that are scripted. Instead of choosing the "Buy" option on the clicker wheel, hit the "Pay" option to activate the script!
They are also further marked with a small red heart sign, to make them easier to spot.
If you are having any difficulty making a purchase with these scripted vendors, please let me know.

If you do not wish to purchase a shape but are interested in donating, I've also set up a donation box on the main floor of my mainstore, which you can pay directly to contribute.

Even though I don't know Shir personally, I'm a big fan of her work in SL and I just want to extend my best wishes, along with a little compassion and contribution on behalf of myself and my customers. So please, open up your hearts and consider contributing to this effort!

Happy Xmas Eve, everyone! So I've been pretty hectic lately working on some new things..redid all the vendors with frames.. pretty classy, I was excited! And within the next few days I'll be releasing a few more male and female shapes. The first I've finished is a really unique and pretty shape, customized for M&R Cupcakes "Celebrity" line, which I think is really gorgeous and is up there with my favorite skins! Take a look.

I found the skin really unique and delicate, and tried to portray that with the shape. The shape is now available at my mainstore and Starlust locations, and demos are out for you to try!

Peace on Earth Hunt Gift Shape

Who ordered tall, dark, and handsome? Well, Hourglass has it! Fresh from the pages of a magazine or a movie screen.. this handsome guy brings something different to the field of male shapes. An anatomically correct, non-boxy, non-my-muscles-are-bigger-than-my-face shape for the guy who wants a fun, young, and sexy look!

The shape measures at an in-world height of 6 ft 4 in. and was specifically created for the new line of men's skins from Karamia, which are amazing!!

As always the shape is copy/mod/no trans, and available at my new mainstore in Fantasma Plaza (climb the rope to the 2nd floor)! Demos available inside the entrance of the shop. More men's shapes on the way in the next few weeks!

NEW Mainstore & Fantasma Mall Opening TODAY! :D

I've been a busy bee these past few weeks, all in preparation for the grand opening of the new Hourglass mainstore. Had to move with all the LL openspace sim tier increases, but I'm really happy to be at my new home at Fantasma!

Fantasma is a themed sim designed by Brutus Martinek (of Pididdle). The sim itself resembles an old abandoned town, with a few special, magical touches. Other stores on the sim include Alchemy, Bagley, Golden Delish, Heart Attack & Vine, Humby Designs, lessthan3, Pididdle, Pig, Schadenfreude, Silent Sparrow, Smersh, Split Pea, and Twosome. It's a great little community!

The new Hourglass Mainstore @ Fantasma

The official sim opening is TODAY Monday, December 1st, and many of the shops will be giving out gifts for the occasion. I've created two special shapes, which you can find in a crate right as you enter :)

I hope you enjoy the new sim, the build, take lots of pics and show me!

omgggg yay!! My amazing friend Tiffer GossipGirl blogged me! My first blog review!! Check out her blog here: Retail Therapy

She's doing a series on recreating the looks of the characters from Twilight (the series of novels/soon to be motion picture), and shes shown how versatile my shapes can be with different skins :D I'm so excited. Starlust Trash Hunt on Friday!

Hourglass Shapes is participating in the sim-wide after-Halloween trash hunt at the Starlust, starting this Friday and going thru the weekend!

I'm contributing 3 gifts to the hunt, all of which can be found in and around the Horst von Starlustinberg State Penitentiary, where my shop is located! :) Pick them up for $1L each!

Grande Opening of NEW Hourglass Shapes Mainstore

I'd like to invite you all to join me on November 1st, 2008 for the grande opening of the new ~Hourglass Shapes~ mainstore!

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with myself and my store, I make shapes customized for different skin brands. I've always been the kind of person who tweaked my own personal shape with every skin, even if it was just slightly, to really enhance the beauty of the skin. I've taken my own shapes, given them unique features, and made them available to you!

Since my spontaneous "80's Workout" theme party went so well the other day for myself and my group members, I've decided to repeat the theme for the opening! So come dressed in your best 80's garb, dance, laugh, shop, fish, and just enjoy yourself!

In preparation for this opening, I've literally doubled the inventory of my shop, making 6 new shapes for the following skins:
Nylon Outfitters
Tuli (Meredith & Sumi)
Minajunk (Harajyuku)
D-Skin #42
Rockberry (Megan)

My original shapes are all available M/C/NT for 500L each. Demos are free and available for all shapes!

You'll find my shop amidst a forest in the sky, with a small pond for 7S Fishing (2 custom prizes are available! A shape for Tuli's "Black Swan" skin series, as well as a shape for Rockberry's "Mia"). So cast a line and good luck!
